Comforters
Comforters are made with 16oz super
soft polyester fill and sateen lining. For self lined comforters double
yardage is required. Comforters are made like a pillow case, filled then
quilted. Comforters do not have pillow tucks or reverse shams. We can
make a separate reverse sham that is not attached, but they are bulky
and hard to manage. We cannot do fitted corners on Comforters. Welted
edge, ¼”, ½”, or 1”. Due to the process of manufacturing, sizes can vary as much as 3” in
width or length. If an exact size is required, we suggest you order a
bias binding for finished edges. If you want a completely reversible
comforter, we can quilt 2 separate pieces in different quilting patterns,
and then join them at the edge. Usually 6oz to 8oz for each piece. This
will increase the labor charges. Please ask for a quote.
Duvet covers (duvet is French for down comforter)
A Duvet cover is made for an existing comforter. Down comforters are
made to be used as bedding, not decorative, and may vary in size, they
may not cover your mattress like a coverlet would, check for sufficient
drop. An exact size is required to manufacture a well fitted duvet
cover. We can add ties to the inside corners to help hold the comforter
in place. The closure is standard with a zipper. We can also make them
with buttons, fabric covered or if you supply us with decorative buttons.
The closure placement is standard at the head of the bed, but you can
specify it to be at the foot, sides or even set down with a flap.
